TV Digital Recorder 2014 – Set-up Procedure
Find
the brand of your television in the Set-up Code section and select the first 4
digit code in the list. Switch on your TV (not on standby).
Press
the TV key and release it.
Press
and hold down the Now’s Good key until the red LED underneath the TV key lights
up twice.
Enter
the 4-digit code for your television (the red LED should light up twice after
having entered the fourth digit).
Press
the Power key and see if you are able to switch off your television.
If
your television does not respond, repeat steps with each code listed for your
brand. If none of the codes listed for your brand operate your television, or
if your brand is not listed, try the code search described.
Switch
your television back on by pressing a number key (or CH+) and check if all the
functions are working correctly.
Write
down the code for your television on the inside of the battery cover for quick
easy reference.
Programming
Notes
•
If your device does not respond to the remote after trying all codes listed or
your brand is not listed in the code list, use the Auto Code Search method to
program your remote.
• Sometimes the first code that “works” with your device may operate only a few functions of your device. There may be another code in the code list that performs more functions. Try other codes from the code list for more functionality.

This
is a trial and error procedure; and quiet time consuming. You might have to
check different codes said for your device.
Code
search
If
your device does not respond to the DTR remote after having tried all the codes
listed for your brand, you can try the Code search. During the Code search you
will run through every available code in the DTR remote library. This method
may also work if your brand is not listed at all.
To
search for your television code.
Make
sure that you television is switched on.
Press
the TV key and release it.
Press
and hold down the Now’s Good key until the red LED (underneath the TV key)
lights up twice.
Press
9 9 1. The red LED will light up twice.
Aim
the DTR remote at your device.
Next
press power.
Aim
the DTR remote at your Television. Now
press CH+ over and over, until your Television
turns off.
Every
time you press the CH+ key the DTR remote will send out a POWER signal from the
next code contained in the PVR library.
You
may have to press this key many times (up to 150 times) so please be patient.
The Code search can take approximately 15 minutes.
If
you skip past a code, you can go to the previous code(s) by pressing the CH-
key. Remember to keep pointing the remote at your device during the Code
search.
As
soon as the device switches off, press Now’s Good key to store this code.
Important: Press the corresponding device key when doing
a Code search. If your device does not
have a POWER key, press PLAY instead.
Blink
out your code
By
blinking out you code you can determine which code is actually working for your
device.
Example:
To blink back the code for your television.
Press
the TV key and release it.
Press
and hold down the Now’s Good key until the red LED (underneath the TV key)
lights up twice.
Press
9 9 0. The red LED (underneath the TV key) will light up twice.
Press
1 and count how may times the LED lights up. If it does not light up the first
digit is 0.
Press
2 and count how may times the LED lights up. If it does not light up the second
digit is 0.
Press
3 and count how may times the LED lights up. If it does not light up the third
digit is 0.
Press
4 and count how may times the LED lights up. If it does not light up the fourth
digit is 0.
Now you have found the 4-digit code.

Important:
- If during step 4, 5, 6 or 7 the LED does not light up at all, the digit is 0.
- Press the corresponding device key during step 1 if you want to blink back the code for another device you programmed.
- If during step 4, 5, 6 or 7 the LED does not light up at all, the digit is 0.
- Press the corresponding device key during step 1 if you want to blink back the code for another device you programmed.
Volume
lock
The
DTR remote comes with a “Volume Punch Through” feature. This allows you to control the TV volume also
if you are in “PVR” or “DVD/VCR” mode.
“Volume
Punch Through” can be cancelled for a specific mode.
To
cancel the “Volume Punch Through” for DVD mode:
Press
DVD
Press
and hold down the Now’s Good key until the red LED underneath the DVD key
lights up twice.
Press
9 9 3.
Then
press the VOL (-) key and the LED will light up four times.
To
cancel the “Volume Punch Through” for all modes:
Press
and hold down the Now’s Good key until the LED (underneath TV or DVD key)
lights up twice.
Press
9 9 3.
Then
press the VOL (+) key and the LED will light up four times.
To
restore the punch through to TV volume, being in DTR or DVD mode:
Press
and hold down the Now’s Good key until the LED (underneath TV or DVD key)
lights up twice.
Press
9 9 3.
Then
press the TV key and the LED will light up twice.
