Self-diagnostic function
The units in this manual contain a self-diagnostic function. If an error occurs, the STANDBY/TIMER LED will automatically begin to flash. The number of times the LED flashes translates to a probable source of the problem. A definition of the STANDBY/TIMER LED flash indicators is listed in the instruction manual for the user’s knowledge and reference. If an error symptom cannot be reproduced, the Remote Commander can be used to review the failure occurrence data stored in memory to reveal past problems and how often these problems occur.
Diagnostic Test Indicators
When an error occurs, the STANDBY/TIMER LED will flash a set number of times to indicate the possible cause of the problem. If there is more than one error, the LED will identify the first of the problem areas.
Results for all of the following diagnostic items are displayed on screen. If the screen displays a “0”, no error has occurred.
If a +B overcurrent is detected, stoppage of the vertical deflection is detected simultaneously.  The symptom that is diagnosed first by the microcontroller is displayed on the screen.
If standby/stereo LED flashs 8 times, unplug the unit and wait for 10 seconds before performing the adjustment.
Display of Standby/Timer LED Flash Count
Release of TIMER STAND BY indicator blinking
The TIMER/STANDBY indicator blinking display is released by turning OFF the power switch on the TV main unit or removing the plug from the power.
Self-Diagnosis Screen Displays
In cases of malfunctions where it is not possible to determine the symptom such as when the power goes off occasionally or when the screen disappears occasionally, there is a screen display on whether the malfunction occurred or not in the past (and whether the detection circuit operated or not) in order to allow confirmation.
Screen Display Method
Quickly press the remote command button in the following order from the standby state
Self-Diagnosis Screen Display
The results display is not automatically cleared. In case of repairs and after repairs, check the self-diagnosis screen and be sure to return the results display to “ 0 ”.
If the results display is not returned to “ 0 ” it will not be possible to judge a new malfunction after completing repairs.
Method of Ending Self Diagnosis Screen
When ending the self-diagnosis screen completely, turn the power switch OFF on the remote commander or the main unit.
Self-Diagnosis Function Operation
+B overcurrent (OCP)
Occurs when excessive current flows through R6812. The increase in voltage across Q6803 causes it to turn on which sends a high signal to the micro.
+B overvoltage (OVP)
IC6801 detects +B OVP condition and turns on Q6802. This sends a high signal to the micro and also shuts down the AC relay.
V-STOP
Occurs when an absence of the vertical deflection pulse is detected by pin 56 of IC0401 (MA Board). Power supply will shut down when waveform interval exceeds 2 seconds.
White Balance Failure
If the RGB levels* do not balance within 2 seconds after the power is turned on, this error will be detected by IC0401. TV will stay on, but there will be no picture.
*(Refers to the RGB levels of the AKB detection Ref pulse that detects 1K).
Low B OCP/OVP
Occurs when set 5V is out.
Horizontal Deflection Stopped
Occurs when either:
1) a +B overcurrent is detected (Q6803), or
2) IC0401 (MA Board) is damaged.
Screen voltage adjustment (g2) (coarse adjustment)
1. Receive the Monoscope signal.
2. Set BRIGHTNESS to 50% and PICTURE to minimum.
3. Turn the red VR on the focus block all the way to the left and then gradually turn it to the right until the retrace line is barely visible.
4. Gradually turn the control to the left until the retrace line disappears.
Screen (g2) adjustment (fine adjustment)
If the jig described below is available, it is recommended that the G2 Fine Mode Adjustment be performed to set the screen controls to their optimal condition. If desired, you can build the jig illustrated below,
using 3-watt resistors. Please note that if the proper voltage is not obtained with the listed resistor’s values, then increase or decrease one of the values in the resistor network to obtain the correct voltage.
1. Select VIDEO-1 mode no signal applied (the screen must be black).
2. Connect the G2 JIG.
3. SW on JIG.
4. Connect an oscilloscope to the TP9101(KR), TP9201(KG) and TP9301(KB) of CR board, CG board, and CB board.
5. Adjust red, green, and blue screen voltage to 177.5+/-0.5V with screen VR on the focus block.
Deflection yoke tilt adjustment
1. Connect the color bar generator monoscope pattern to Video 1 input.
2. Cover the red and blue CRT lenses with lens caps to allow only green to show (or use the method shown in the note below for turning off the CRTs individually without using lens caps). 
3. Loosen the CRT’s deflection yoke set screw and align the tilt of the deflection yoke so that the horizontal bars at the center of the cross-hatch pattern are parallel to the top and bottom edges of the screen.
4. After aligning the deflection yoke fasten it securely to the funnel-shaped portion (neck) of the CRT.
5. Cover the green and blue CRT lenses with lens caps to allow only green to show (or use the method shown in the note below for turning off the CRTs individually without using lens caps), then repeat steps 3
and 4 for the red CRT.  Cover the green and red CRT lenses with lens caps to allow only green to show (or use the method shown in the note below for turning off the CRTs individually without using lens caps), then repeat steps 3 and 4 for the blue CRT.
Note: If lens caps are unavailable, you can cut off the unnecessary color beams by controlling the service mode MCP-RON, GON, BON.
Focus lens adjustment
In this adjustment, use the remote commander while in service mode.
 Electrical adjustments by remote commander.
1. Loosen the lens screw.
2. Cover the red and blue CRT lenses with lens caps to allow only green to show (or use the method shown in the note below for turning off the CRTs individually without using lens caps).
3. Turn the green lens to adjust to the optimum focus point with the crosshatch signal.
4. Tighten the lens screw.
5. Cover the green and blue CRT lenses with the lens caps to allow only red to show (or use the method shown in the note below for turning off the CRTs individually without using lens caps).
6. Turn the red lens to adjust to the optimum focus point with the crosshatch signal.
7. Tighten the lens screw.
8. Cover the green and red CRT lenses with the lens caps to allow only blue to show (or use the method shown in the note below for turning off the CRTs individually without using lens caps).
9. Turn the blue lens to adjust to the optimum focus point with the crosshatch signal.
10.Tighten the lens screw.
11.After adjusting the items:
 Focus vr adjustment,  2-pole magnet adjustment, 4-pole magnet adjustment
reconfirm the optimum focus point and adjust again if necessary.
* In PJE mode, every time 6 is pressed, the test signal changes to: “crosshatch+video signal” > “crosshatch+borderline (black)” > ”crosshatch (black)” > “dots (black)” > “all white” > off

Focus vr adjustment
1. Set generator to crosshatch.
2. Cover the red and blue CRT lenses with lens caps to allow only green to show (or use the method shown in the note below for turning off the CRTs individually without using lens caps).
3. Turn the green focus VR on the focus block to adjust to the optimum focus point with the crosshatch signal.
4. Cover the green and blue picture lenses with lens caps to allow only red to show (or use the method shown in the note below for turning off the CRTs individually without using lens caps).
5. Turn the red focus VR on the focus block to adjust to the optimum focus point with the crosshatch signal.
6. Cover the green and red picture lenses with lens caps to allow only blue to show (or use the method shown in the note below for turning off the CRTs individually without using lens caps).
7. Turn the blue focus VR on the focus block to adjust to the optimum focus point with the crosshatch signal.
8. After adjusting the items:
Focus lens adjustment, 2-pole magnet adjustment,  4-pole magnet adjustment
reconfirm the optimum focus point and adjust again if necessary.
Note: If lens caps are unavailable, you can cut off the unnecessary color beams by controlling the service mode MCP-RON, GON, BON.
Centering magnet adjustment
1. Set the mode to PRO.
2. Receive the monoscope signal.
3. Cover the red and blue CRT lenses with lens caps to allow only green to show (or use the method shown in the note below for turning off the CRTs individually without using lens caps).
4. Adjust the green CRT’s centering magnet to put the center of the monoscope signal to the center of the screen.
5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 for the red CRT except now you will cover the green and blue CRT lenses with lens caps to allow only red to show (or use the method shown in the note below for turning off the
CRTs individually without using lens caps) and you will adjust the red centering magnet.
6. Repeat steps 1 through 4 for the blue CRT except now you will cover the red and green CRT lenses with lens caps to allow only blue to show (or use the method shown in the note below for turning off the
CRTs individually without using lens caps) and you will adjust the blue centering magnet.
7. After 2-Pole and 4-Pole adjustment, entering magnet adjustment needs to be confirmed. If centering magnet is re-adjusted, then 2-Pole magnet will need to be confirmed.
Note: If lens caps are unavailable, you can cut off the unnecessary color beams by controlling the service mode MCP-RON, GON, BON.
2-POLE MAGNET ADJUSTMENT
1. Set the mode to PRO and picture to MAX.
2. Receive the 100IRE 1080i Dot signal.
3. Cover the red and blue CRT lenses with lens caps to allow only green to show (or use the method shown in the note below for turning off the CRTs individually without using lens caps).
4. Turn the focus VR on the focus block to the left (counter clockwise) and set it to overfocus to enlarge the spot.
5. Adjust the CRT’s 2-pole magnet so that the small bright spot is in the center.
6. Align the focus VR on the focus block and set it for the best focus.
7. Repeat steps 1 through 6 for the red CRT covering the green and blue CRT lenses with lens caps to allow only red to show (or use the method shown in the note below for turning off the CRTs individually
without using lens caps) and you will adjust the red focus control on the focus block.
8. Repeat steps 1 through 6 for the blue CRT covering the red and green CRT lenses with lens caps to allow only blue to show (or use the method shown in the note below for turning off the CRTs individually
without using lens caps) and you will adjust the blue focus control on the focus block.
Note: If lens caps are unavailable, you can cut off the unnecessary color beams by controlling the service mode MCP-RON, GON, BON.
4-pole magnet adjustment
1. Set the mode to VIVID and WIDE mode = Zoom, VM:Off.
2. Receive the 100IRE 1080i Dot signal.
3. Cover the red and blue CRT lenses with lens caps to allow only green to show (or use the method shown in the note below for turning off the CRTs individually without using lens caps).
4. Turn the (green) focus VR on the focus block to the right (clockwise) and set it to under-focus to reduce the spot.
5. Adjust the 4-pole magnet so that the small spot in the center of the screen becomes round for green and red.
6. Adjust the blue spot to an oval shape X:Y=1:1
7. Repeat steps 1 through 6 for the red CRT except now you will cover the green and blue CRT lenses with lens caps to allow only red to show (or use the method shown in the note below for turning off the
CRTs individually without using lens caps) and you will adjust the red focus control on the focus block.
8. Repeat steps 1 through 6 for the blue CRT except now you will cover the red and green CRT lenses with lens caps to allow only blue to show (or use the method shown in the note below for turning off the
CRTs individually without using lens caps) and you will adjust the blue focus control on the focus block.
Note: If lens caps are unavailable, you can cut off the unnecessary color beams by controlling the service mode MCP-RON, GON, BON.

Defocus adjustment (blue)
Note: Adjust the blue dot to be slightly larger than red and green dots.
This adjustment provides a more pleasing picture to the customer.
1. Set the mode to PRO, PICTURE : Max, COLOR TEMP : Cool.
2. Receive the 100IRE 1080i Dot signal.
3. Cover the red and green CRT lenses with lens caps to allow only blue to show (or use the method shown in the note below for turning off the CRTs individually without using lens caps).
4. Turn the blue focus VR on the focus block to the right (clockwise) until blue spot is in focus.
5. Change mode to VIVID to confirm Flare level is minimal using cross hatch signal.
6. Set the generator to an all white signal and check uniformity.
Note: If lens caps are unavailable, you can cut off the unnecessary color beams by controlling the service mode MCP-RON, GON, BON.
Method of entering the service adjustment mode: service mode procedure
1. TV must be in Standby mode. (Power off)
2. Press “DISPLAY”, “5”, “VOL +”, then “POWER” on the remote commander.
(Press each button within 1 second of pressing the previous button.)
3. The screen displays the item being adjusted within that category.
4. Press 1 or 4 on the remote commander to select the adjustment item
5. Press 3 or 6 on the remote commander to change the data
6. Press 2 or 5 on the remote commander to select the adjustment category
Every time you press 2 (Category up), service mode changes.
7. If you want to go back to the most recently saved value, press “0” then “ENTER” to read the memory.
8. Press “MUTING” then “ENTER” to write the new adjustment data into memory.
9. Turn power off when you want to exit the service mode.
Note:: Press “8” then “ENTER” on the remote commander to restore the factory settings for user controls and channel memories (this will also turn set off and then on to exit the service mode).
Memory write confirmation method
1. After adjustment, turn the power off with the remote commander.
2. Turn the power ON and set to service mode.
3. Cycle through the adjusted items again and confi rm that the adjustments were saved.
Firmware Upgrade
Note: Take the other models for example.
Attention˖
1. Prepare a U-disk, the file system of FAT is the best choice.
2. Change the “.pkg” software file name to “upgrade_loader.pkg” and copy it to U-disk root directory.
3. TV AC off, and insert the U-disk with F/W changed to the USB port of TV.
4. After TV AC on, TV will detects the F/W in the U-disk to upgrade automatically. During this process, it is forbid to
AC off TV and unplug the U-diskDŽ TV will restart after upgrade.
5. Unplug the U-disk and restart TV.
6. Press “menu+1999” by RC to open factory menu and check the software version as below figure. If the version information is not the same as the F/W in U-disk, please redo upgrade.
EDID Upgrade
 (Take Philip_201T1 for example.)
1. Ready for writing EDID
Install USB driver.
 When insert the USB cable to PC USB port, will pop up a Hardware Wizard to help you install the USB driver if you use this ISP board first time. You can install it successfully as the below instruction step by step.
Remark: The USB driver files path: D:\FTC100103(Mstar)\FTCUSB.INF
 Install TPVedid tool.
1. Run the “InstallEdidXP.bat” firstly by double-click it icon. And press any key to finish it.
2. Double-click “TpvEdid.exe” to open the EDID tool.
3. Click “FPD” to open another interface.
4. Click “Read File” to load the correct EDID file.
5. After loading the VGA EDID file, AC on the TV and click “Test EDID” to check the communication between TV and PC. When there is “edid write protected” letters, we can click “Write EDID” to program.
6. Click “Write EDID” to start writing.
7. Click “Read EDID” to read the EDID information from TV.
8. Click “Edid Content” to check whether the EDID read from TV is correct or not. If the EDID information is the same as what you have written, EDID write successfully.
Write HDMI EDID.
1 Connection for write HDMI1 EDID.
2. For the other steps, please refer to the writing VGA EDID steps.
3. Write the EDID for other HDMI ports EDID one by one as the VGA EDID writing steps.

SDR H100P-Panasonic video camera, factory mode, service mode, self check, error codes

Please do not attempt to disassemble this device, if you don’t have needed tools and sufficient experience. This is not an easily repairable device for a customer. Contact the service centre for Panasonic to get it repaired. No user repairable parts inside.
How to Replace the Lithium Battery
The lithium battery is a critical component.
(Type No.: ML-614S/DN Manufactured by Energy Company, Panasonic Corporation)
It must never be subjected to excessive heat or discharge.
It must therefore only be fitted in equipment designed specifically for its use.
Replacement batteries must be of the same type and manufacture.
They must be fitted in the same manner and location as the original battery, with the correct polarity contacts observed.
Do not attempt to re-charge the old battery or re-use it for any other purpose.
It should be disposed of in waste products destined for burial rather than incineration.
1. Remove the Monitor P.C.B.
2. Unsolder the Lithium Battery "ML-614S/DN" and then replace the new one.
How to Define the Model Suffix (NTSC or PAL model)
There are eight kinds of SDR-H100/H101, regardless of the colours.
 a) SDR-H100P
 b) SDR-H100PC
 c) SDR-H100EB/EC/EF/EG/EP, SDR-H101EB
 d) SDR-H100EE
 e) SDR-H100GT
 f ) SDR-H101GA/GN
 g) SDR-H101GK
 h) SDR-H101PR/PU/GC
What is the difference is that the "INITIAL SETTINGS" data which is stored in Flash ROM mounted on Main P.C.B.
To define the model suffix to be serviced, refer to the nameplate which is putted on the bottom side of the Unit
After replacing the MAIN P.C.B., be sure to achieve adjustment.
The adjustment instruction is available at "software download" on the "Support Information from NWBG/VDBG-AVC" web-site in "TSN system", together with Maintenance software.
Service Mode
The screens of the service mode are for SDR-H100P.
For other models, refer to each screen of the service mode.
1. Indication method of the service menu
Set the mode switch “Recording" mode.
2. While keep pressing the "Intelligent auto/Manual" button and "Menu" button, hold left the Zoom Lever towards to "[ W ]" position for more than 3 seconds until the top screen of the Service Menu being displayed.
HDD Self Check
Select [3] HDD self check.
HDD self check result display
Display the HDD self check result information.
Displays other than "OK" are abnormalities of HDD.
Push the menu button to end the service mode, and then POWER OFF.
Lock Search History Indication
Select [4] Lock search history indication.
• Lock search history indication
Display the camera system error code for three histories saved in EEPROM.
• The error code contents which are displayed
Lock search history indication is finished by POWER OFF.
Power ON Self Check Result Display
1. Select [5] Power ON self check result display.
• Power ON self check result display
Function to diagnose correct function of the device and interface between devices result display.
Display the following communication test result.
- CAM-PWR : Communication test between IC2006 to IC1503
- CAM-UNI : Communication test between IC2006 to IC3401
Display other than "OK" are abnormalities of each lines.
Power ON self check result display is finished by POWER OFF.
Lock Search History Clear
1. Select [10] Lock Search History Clear.
An error code for three histories in EEPROM is cleared.
Push the menu button to end the service mode, and then POWER OFF.
Cleaning Lens and LCD Panel
Do not touch the surface of the lens and LCD Panel with your hand.
When cleaning the lens, use air-Blower to blow off the dust.
When cleaning the LCD Panel, dampen the lens cleaning paper with lens cleaner, and the gently wipe the their surface.
Note: Lens cleaning paper and lens cleaner are available at local camera shops and market.
Factory Setting
The screens of the factory setting are for SDR-H100P.
For other models, refer to each screen of the factory setting.
How to turn on the factory setting
1. Indication method of the service menu.
Set the mode switch “Recording" mode.
2. While keep pressing the "Intelligent auto/Manual" button and "Menu" button, hold left the Zoom Lever towards to "[ W ]" position for more than 3 seconds until the top screen of the Service Menu being displayed.
3. Under the condition of the Item No."1" is yellow high lighted, press the "[RIGHT ] of joystick" button.
4. By pressing the "[UP ] of joystick" button, then press the "[center] of joystick" button.
5. After few seconds "END" is displayed on LCD monitor. Cutting of battery connection or AC power supply connection as a completion of the "FACTORY SETTINGS"
What is the factory settings
The factory settings clean up and/or refresh the following settings.
1. MENU, MODE, ADJUSTMENT VALUE.
2. SD card format.
3. Reset the folder number and file number of still pictures.  (Setting the folder number is 100, and file number is 0.)
4. Clear the mechanism lock information.
5. Clear the service mode information contents.
6. Clear the date.
7. Initialise the VIERA Link Physical Address.
8. Confirm the data area of HDD is cleared.

LG DM2740 – How to upgrade the firmware, system reset, amplifier and MICOM schematic - DVD Micro Hi-Fi system


LG DM2740 (DM2740, CMS2730F) DVD Micro Hi-Fi System - Signal system: Standard NTSC color TV system
Stereo mode: 80 W + 80 W (4Ω at 1kHz)
 The pick-up incorporates a strong magnet, and so should never be brought close to magnetic materials.
 ✓The pick-up should always be handled correctly and carefully, taking care to avoid external pressure and impact. If it is subjected to strong pressure or impact, the result may be an operational malfunction and/or damage to the printed-circuit board.
 ✓Each and every pick-up is already individually adjusted to a high degree of precision, and for that reason the adjustment point and installation screws should absolutely never be touched.
 ✓Laser beams may damage the eyes. Never permit laser beams to enter the eyes.
Also NEVER switch ON the power to the laser output part (lens, etc.) of the pick-up if it is damaged.
✓ NEVER look directly at the laser beam, and don’t allow contact with fingers or other exposed skin.
 ✓Never attempt to disassemble the pick-up.
Spring has excess pressure. If the lens is extremely dirty, apply isopropyl alcohol to the cotton swab.
(Do not use any other liquid cleaners, because they will damage the lens.) 
✓Take care not to use too much of this alcohol on the swab, and do not allow the alcohol to get inside the pick-up.
FIRMWARE UPGRADE
MPEG
1) Copy firmware to USB (Do not change file name).
Ex) LG_DM2740LD1_1403190.rom
2) Change function to DVD/CD by pressing input key, and wait until home menu is shown.
3) Inset USB device which includes firmware.
4) Firmware is detected automatically and then, shows blue screen in TV. If home menu is maintained after inserting USB, press music Icon.
5) Take off the USB and press PLAY key.
6) and then, upgrading is started.  Do not turn off the set until upgrade is finished.
7) After finishing firmware upgrading, set will restart automatically.
8) Power off and on again by pressing POWER key.
AUDIO MICOM
1) Copy firmware to USB (Do not change file name).
Ex) DM2740_1403250.HEX
2) Change function to DVD/CD by pressing input key, and wait until home menu is shown.
3) Inset USB device which includes firmware.
4) Firmware is detected automatically and then, shows blue screen in TV.
If home menu is maintained after inserting USB, press music Icon.
5) Upgrading is started.
 Do not turn off the set until upgrade is finished.
 Do not pull out the USB device using firmware upgrading.
6) After finishing firmware upgrading, set will be turned off.
TOUCH
1) Copy firmware to USB (Do not change file name).
Ex) DM2740T_1402040.dld / TC390_LG_CMDM2740_140204_0.hex
2) Change function to DVD/CD by pressing input key, and wait until home menu is shown.
3) Inset USB device which includes firmware.
4) Firmware is detected automatically and then, shows blue screen in TV.  If Home menu is maintained after inserting USB, press music Icon.
5) Upgrading is started.
  ✓Do not turn off the set until upgrade is finished.
  ✓Do not pull out the USB device using firmware upgrading.
6) After finishing firmware upgrading, set will be turned off.
EEPROM OPTION SETTING
1) Change function to DVD/CD by pressing input key, and wait until home menu is shown.
Do not insert disc or USB at the set.
2) Press "PAUSE 1 4 7 2" in order.
3) and then, option setting menu is displayed.
You can see 10 bytes option value.
Ex ) F9 00 C1 D4 00 11 90 10 E0 08
4) Move a cursor by pressing Arrow </> key.
5) Press Num key what you want to change.
6) Press "PAUSE" key to exit option setting menu.
After change option value, you need to make system reset.

1) Change function to DVD/CD by pressing input key, and wait until home menu is shown.
 Do not insert disc or USB at the set.
2) Go to SETUP menu by pressing SETUP button in HOME menu.
3) Move highlight at "DISPLAY ==> TV Aspect ==>16:9".
4) Press "1 3 9 7 1 3 9 Enter" in order.
5) And then, system reset menu is displayed.
6) Power off and on by pressing POWER key.

HBTV-32D02FD, HBTV-40D02FD – H Buster – service mode, software update, connector voltage details


Be sure no power is applied to the chassis or circuit, and observe all other safety precautions.
Service Mode
With the TV remote control, enter the following keys in sequence:
[MENU 8 8 9 3]
The TV screen will display the information as shown below.
In the last line of the service menu, the card version.
Such as: "L_MSD209GL_PANEL_MERGE BRA MAY 13 201016.47.31"
Exiting service mode
Simply press the EXIT button on the user's remote control or turn the power off.
ATTENTION:
When performing a software update, memory swapping
If the EEPROM or the device shows unstable, perform the below:
Press the UP / DOWN buttons and select Init EEPROM, then press the ">" button.

Firmware Update
This procedure should only be performed when the equipment is abnormal in its operation, or when there is an official communiqué to carry out such a procedure.  Do not upgrade if the equipment is working properly.  Carefully read the entire procedure and perform the task as described below.  If in doubt, always seek the help of H-Buster technical support.
Firmware (software update)
Initial Procedures.
Needed tools:
- An empty and formatted pen drive (FAT32) - minimum 512MB;
- Remote control of equipment;
- Latest version downloaded from the services website.
To obtain the latest version, log on to the H-Buster service website and download as the LCD panel model (if present). If you have any questions, contact technical support.

Copying the firmware to USB Memory Key
The file that is on the services site is "zipped (compressed)." To unzip it, it is necessary to have a decompress program installed on your computer (eg Winzip, WinRAR, etc.) Save to the desktop and unzip it to the PC. If the decompress or program creates open the folder and copy to the pen-drive the file that is inside the folder (NOT COPY TO ALL PASTE).
The name of the file to be copied to the pen drive SHOULD NOT BE CHANGED, CASE CONTRARY TV WILL NOT RECOGNIZE THE FILE
Updating the firmware
Follow the procedures below carefully:
1) With the TV working, connect the pen drive with the recorded program to the USB port;
2) Press the MENU button on the remote control and go to the CHANNEL option with the navigation keys and press OK;
3) In the CHANNEL menu, scroll to the next page where "Update Software" will appear and press OK;
4) The confirmation question will appear on the screen, confirm and press OK;
5) Wait until the end of the update, where the equipment will turn off and restart itself;
6) Enter the service menu and reset the memory with the INIT EEPROM command.

State:No picture
First,check cables which connect with PSU,then check as follows
Check input voltage
voltage: +5VSB----POWER ON(2.6V) --+12V
State: No sound
First,check cables which connect with PSU,then check as follows
1) Check input voltage as NO picture
2) Check speaker output
check speaker anode(+) and cathode(-), confirm speaker short or not.  If any defect found replace the speaker.

Software Upgrade
Samsung may offer upgrades for the TV’s firmware in the future. These upgrades can be performed via the TV when it is connected to the Internet, or by downloading the new firmware from samsung.com to a USB memory device.
• Alternative Software (Backup) shows The previous version that will be replaced.
• Software is represented as ‘Year/Month/Day_Version’. The more recent the date, the newer the software version Installing the latest version is recommended.
By USB
Insert a USB drive containing the firmware upgrade downloaded from samsung.com into the TV. Please be careful to not disconnect the power or remove the USB drive while upgrades are being applied. The TV will turn off and turn on automatically after completing the firmware upgrade. Please check the firmware version after the upgrades are complete (the new version will have a higher number than the older version). When software is upgraded, video and audio settings you have made will return to their default (factory) settings. We recommend you write down your settings so that you can easily reset them after the upgrade.
By Online
Upgrades the software using the Internet.
• First, configure your network. For detailed procedures on using the Network Setting, refer to the ‘Setting the Network’ instructions.
• If The internet connection doesn’t operate properly, connection can be broken, please retry downloading. If the problem still happens, download by USB and upgrade.
Alternative Software (Backup)
If there is an issue with the new firmware and it is affecting operation, you can change the software to the previous version.
• If Software was changed, existing Software is displayed.
• you can change current Software to Alternative Software by ‘Alternative Software’.
Troubleshooting: Previous Check
1. Check the various cable connections frst.
- Check to see if there is a burnt or damaged cable.
- Check to see if there is a disconnected or loose cable connection.
- Check to see if the cables are connected according to the connection diagram.
2. Check the power input to the Main Board.
3. How to distinguish if the problem is caused by Main Board or T CON
How to know it is from Main Board or T-Con when some problems happen
1. No Picture : Backlight is on, but there is no picture and LED indicator in front of TV is blinking.
- Check the LVDS Cable connection. If still problems, change the T-Con Board and then Main Board step by step.
2. Picture distortion : Enter the service mode
Choose ‘SVC’ Check the ‘internal pattern.’
To  Enter ‘Service Mode.
3. Choose ‘SVC.’
4. Choose ‘Test pattern.’
5. Select the each pattern and then check all pattern is ok or not.
* If pattern status is OK, fault might be at its main board. Front of the NOVATEX IC has the problem.
* If pattern is not good, Panel and T-Con board should be suspected.
NO Power problem
If you replace the main board with new one, change the factory option as well.
The options you must change are "Type".
Main board - connector voltage details
White Balance:  Calibration
1. Into the Factory Mode.
2. Select ADC/WB menu.
3. Select ADC menu.
Service Adjustment
You must perform Calibration in the Lattice Pattern before adjusting the White Balance.
Method of Color Calibration (AV)
1. Apply the NTSC Lattice (N0. 3) pattern signal to the AV IN 1 port.
2. Press the Source key to switch to “AV1” mode.
3. Enter Service mode.
4. Select the “ADC” menu.
5. Select the “AV Calibration” menu.
6. In “AV Calibration Off” status, press the “► ” key to perform Calibration.
7. When Calibration is complete, it returns to the high-level menu.
8. You can see the change of the “AV Calibration” status from Failure to Success.
Method of Color Calibration (Component)
1. Apply the 720p Lattice (N0. 6) pattern signal to the Component IN 1 port.
2. Press the Source key to switch to “Component1” mode.
3. Enter Service mode.
4. Select the “ADC” menu.
5. Select the “Comp Calibration” menu.
6. In “Comp Calibration Off” status, press the “ ►” key to perform Calibration.
7. When Calibration is complete, it returns to the high-level menu.
8. You can see the change of the “Comp Calibration” status from Failure to Success.
Method of Color Calibration (HDMI)
1. Apply the 720p Lattice (N0. 6) pattern signal to the HDMI1/DVI IN port.
2. Press the Source key to switch to “HDMI1” mode.
3. Enter Service mode.
4. Select the “ADC” menu.
5. Select the “HDMI Calibration” menu.
6. In “HDMI Calibration Off” status, press the “►” key to perform Calibration.
7. When Calibration is complete, it returns to the high-level menu.
8. You can see the change of the “HDMI Calibration” status from Failure to Success.
