VTEK - VP 421A - 01/02 _ VP 421B-02 _ SERVICE MODE _ Firmware Update

TO ENTER SERVICE MODE

• Press {Brightness => Freeze => Menu} by remote control,  or {Menu + Select Up} keys on the front panel of the TV to enter Service Mode.
• Use 'Ch Up | Ch Dn & Vol Up | Vol Dn' keys to select an item to adjust and chang the data value to selected item, respectively.

FIRMWARE UPDATE

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT.

• PC & Pixelworks upgrade program
• RS-232 cable.

Connect the RS-232 cable to D-sub 9 pin  (Com Port) of the SET PC module and computer's com-1 port.

Execute the program of Flash Update & choose 'yes' at the first screen.

Choose "VTEK.inf".  Then choose "Flash"

Do not press 'Cancel', at this time should shut down the power of the PDP set [Mains switch], and power On again, then the program will download the firmware automatically.

After finish, panel will automatically reboot itself.  When the blue screen appears, the process is all finished.

• Make sure that the firmware is the customer's version.
• Do not Power Off during download, especially is the BootClde File.

• TV PG RATING:  Configure TVPG RATING.
• Password:  Change the password (default is '1111').  Follow the instruction on screen.  Once changed, remember the password.  If password has been forgotten {Power Off => Menu => V-Chip => Mute} to revert the password of '1111'

HOW TO UNLOCK PARENTAL[V-Chip] PASSWORD TO _ Poloroid - FLM 40_40 Series LCD TVs

The Factory preset passwords to these sets are '0000'.  This password must be used first before setting your own personal password.  It is recommended that to keep the personal password in a safe place and away from children.  In the event you loose the password, the master password is [8202].  This master password overrides all passwords.  Remember that, this password cannot be changed by anyway, and keep it in a safe place.   

If the Picture-in Picture will not work using component-1 and Component-2 as the input sources? Set the TV to its original factory settings.

Factory Mode Procedure

• Power On the TV.
• Press [Volume Up ] & [Channel Up] buttons simultaneously and release them.
• Power Off TV with remote or Power button to 'Exit'.

HOW TO ENTER SERVICE MODE TO TOSHIBA TV

• Press "Mute" & 'Menu" buttons on the remote control simultaneously.
• Press "Menu"' button on the remote control, and enter {4 => 7 => 2 => 5}
• Press 'Volume Down' button on the front panel of the TV and press and hold digit '9' on the remote control.

OR

• With No Menu displayed on the panel, press 'AV" & "F' buttons simultaneously.
• Enter code {1 => 0 => 4 => 8} by the remote control.

OR

• Press 'Mute' button on the remote control.
• Press 'Mute' button again.  While keep pressing the 'Mute' button, press "Menu" button on the TV SET.
• "S" will be displayed at top right corner of the screen.
• Press 'TV (ANT) / VIDEO" button on TV; to get a single Horizontal Line On | Off [to adjsut screen voltage]
• Press 'TV (ANT) / VIDEO' button on the Remote Control; to select internal Test Signals.
• Use 'Ch Up | Ch Dn' buttons to call an item to adjust.
• Use 'Vol Up | Vol Dn' buttons to adjust the data value to selected item.
• To make adjustment menu On \ OFF, press 'Menu' button.
• To 'initialize' the memory IC (QA02), press "Recall + Channel Up" button on the 'TV'.
• Press 'Recall + Channel Dn" button on the 'TV', to initialize self diagnostic data. 

JVC - SERVICE MODE [FACTORY MODE]

• Simultaneously press "Display" & "Video Status" buttons on the remote cotnrol.
• Use 'Menu Up' & 'Menu Dn' button to select an item to adjust.
• To change the data value to selected item, use ( > ) or ( < ) button on the remote control.
• Press "EXIT' button to 'Exit' from service mode.
